I had a client, who I gave a 50% discount to because they were a friend of the family. We were on a panel together when they blurted out the price they paid me for their site. Afterwards I got so many potential clients looking for that same rate.

This is also beneficial for when you give discounts to charitable organizations. The documented discount can be added as a charitable contribution on your income tax.</description>
